Fess up. You’ve always wanted to open a restaurant.
Thought about the look of the place. Worked late on menu options.
Here’s your chance.
The Red Hook Golf Club is looking for someone to take their club restaurant and bar to the next level.
Conveniently located between the Taconic Parkway and the Village of Red Hook, the club is an 18-hole semi-private course.
RHGC has been a local favorite for 86 years with the bar and restaurant being the social hub of the club.
The Board of Directors is soliciting letters of interest to lease the club’s restaurant and bar for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
You’ll have the opportunity to serve RHGC members, guests, tournament participants and the general public during the golf season—generally April through November. It’s a casual place—no dress code, with dining in the restaurant and out on a screened-in porch.
Here’s my take on it--as a golfer, I’m always looking for something good and (relatively) heathy that I can grab-and-go at the turn. Then, after a round, drinks and some bar snacks that are shareable with my foursome will make me linger. For lunch or dinner, keep it local and simple, but delicious.
Members want someone who knows their drink order as they amble into the bar. They’re used to Wednesday nights being pasta nights, Thursdays wing nights and Fridays had been prime rib with some local live music on occasion. Maybe you’ll start some new traditions.
You don’t have to re-invent the burger, just make it better.
If you’re up to the challenge and ready to make having your own restaurant a reality, click here for the information on submitting your letter of interest.
Better hurry, they need it by May 22nd!
Good luck and don’t forget to mention that you learned about this in HudsonValleyEATS.com.
