“What’s for dinner?”
If the thought of figuring out one more meal, shopping and cooking it makes you crazy, we’ve got a great solution for you.
Chef Stef has taken his years of experience as executive chef and cooking instructor and turned it into something he loves doing (and you dread)—figuring out what’s for dinner, cooking it and delivering it to your Hudson Valley doorstep.
And the food is delicious! HudsonValleyEATS.com got to taste several of Chef Stef’s offerings. He gave us large aluminum trays, ready to pop in the oven, but you can also opt for microwavable containers.
We were given three large containers, which he says serves 2-3 people. They were very generous servings, so no need to worry about going hungry!
The menu changes weekly and always has a vegetarian and vegan option. The website has the week’s entrée offerings along with soups, salads, desserts and other add-ins, like his signature flatbreads.
The weekly options are posted on Mondays and you have until Sunday night to place an order for the following week. Delivery depends on your location, but Chef Stef will try to accommodate your schedule.
He’s already thinking ahead to warmer weather and has insulated cooler bags and ice packs ready to go.
The menu we got to taste included a pepper jack mac & cheese with pulled pork and bacon. Creamy, decadent and delicious!
Even the presentation of the chimichurri grilled chicken thighs with wild rice with caramelized onions and dried cranberries and steamed broccoli rabe in its container was lovely. Rows of chicken, flanked with broccoli rabe (a personal favorite) and rice specked with colorful cranberries which tasted as good as it looked.
The third option was the vegan one, with curried kidney beans, bell peppers, yellow squash sitting on a bed of perfectly cooked basmati rice. A great choice for anyone.
Chef Stef also added three different flatbreads. Deciding between cheese
with herb marinara or fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola and chive, or spinach, artichoke, roasted red peppers, and mozzarella was hard, but we managed and enjoyed all of them.
Besides being delicious and convenient, one of the things I appreciated about all Chef Stef’s offerings was that he doesn’t play it safe with his food. There’s always an unexpected ingredient or a different way of doing steak and chicken. It will certainly get you out of whatever cooking/take-out/restaurant rut you might be in.
And now, you’ll be able to answer the “what’s for dinner?” question with a big smile!
