The Premier Cares Foundation is holding its 7th annual “Challenge Your Colon” Chili Festival on Sunday, March 25 from 12-3 at the Villa Borghese, 70 Widmer Rd. Wappingers Falls, NY.
This yearly event is a great chance to taste chilis from restaurants throughout the Hudson Valley as well as supporting local charities that offer services for patients with gastrointestinal diseases including colorectal cancer.

Dozens of local restaurants, caterers and bakers will be on hand, dishing out their specialties.
Awards will be given for the best chili, both meat and vegetarian and chocolate chip cookies. A panel of judges will determine the winners and all visitors will have a chance to vote on the “People’s Choice” awards.
Be ready to be adventurous! In past events, chilis have practically run the alphabet of proteins, from alligator to wildebeest, and spanned the globe from traditional to Thai.
If you’d rather beans than buffalo, there will be plenty of vegetarian options—there’s a whole judging category for vegetarian chilis, and in the past, they’ve been some of our favorites.
Besides chili, there will be local wines and beer tastings for those over 21 and ice cream and other dessert treats for those young at heart.
You’ll be eating some great food for a good cause and you may even discover some new favorite restaurants.
