An EPA Look at What Resources Go into a Year of Food Loss and Waste in the United States

Hot off the presses, a summary of finding from the newly released EPA report, “From Farm to Kitchen: The Environmental Impacts of U.S. Food Waste (Part 1).


The report discloses the climate and environmental impacts of the wastefulness of our current food system when it comes to producing, processing, distributing, and retailing food, and forecasts the benefits to our environmental by meeting the U.S. goal to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030.


This is a partial look into the food footprint of the United States' food footprint when it comes to food loss and food waste.
